    • The construction for coupling a rodless cylinder (3) to the base (2) includes a hollow duct (2A) formed in the bottom wall of the base (2) and extending along the entire length of the base (2).     • An inner seal band (30) having flat surfaces on both sides is used for closing a slit (3) formed on the cylinder tube (2) of a rodless cylinder (1). An internal moving body (20) is disposed in the cylinder tube (2) and moves along the longitudinal axis of the cylinder tube (2). The inner seal band (30) passes through a channel groove (20b) formed on the bottom face of the internal moving body (20). Thin plate-like abrasion members (100) made of synthetic resin are adhered on the side walls of the channel groove (20b). The abrasion members (100) contact with the edges of the inner seal band (30) and restricts its movement in the transverse direction. Since the abrasion members (100) are separate members from the side walls of the channel groove (20b), a material different from that of the side walls, such as abrasion resistant material can be used for the guide members (40). Further, the thickness of the guide members (40) can be selected in accordance with the actual width of the channel groove (20b) and the difference in the width of the channel groove (20b) due to machining tolerance can be compensated for by using the guide members (40) having appropriate thicknesses.

    • The slide unit includes a rodless power cylinder having a cylinder tube (2). End caps (10,11) are attached to both ends of the cylinder tube (2). A piston (20) is disposed in the bore of the cylinder tube and is movable along the slit (3). An external carriage (26) is connected with the piston (20) by a yoke (22) extending through the slit (3). An inner seal band (30) and an outer seal band (31) extending along the slit (3) for closing the opening of the slit from the inside and outside, respectively, are provided. The ends of the inner seal band and the outer seal band are inserted into corresponding recesses formed on each of the inner end faces of the end caps (10,11). A pin hole (38) crossing the recesses and extending to the upper face of each end cap is provided. A fitting hole (30a) is disposed on each end of the inner seal band (30) and the outer seal band (31) at the position corresponding to the pin hole (38). The inner seal band and the outer seal band are secured to each end cap by inserting a fitting pin (39) into the fitting holes at the ends of the seal bands through the pin hole. Since the seal bands are secured to each end cap only by a fitting pin, the assembly of the seal bands is largely simplified.
