摘要： A vehicle seat (10) in which the seat cushion (12) and/or seat back (14) are formed with side bolsters (22, 224, 32, 34) that are reinforced by hollow inserts (52, 54, 56, 58), preferably blow molded, that are attached to the seat cushion or seat back frame (36, 42) in the area of the side bolsters and which are covered by the foam pad. The hollow reinforcements increase the lateral support provided by the seat to the seat occupant at a relatively low added cost.
