摘要： Conventional thermal flow measurement devices lack consideration for an automobile against severe environment. The inventive thermal flow measurement device includes a detection element consisting of, all formed on the surface of a thin portion (diaphragm) which is formed on a planar substrate of silicon or ceramic exhibiting good thermal conductivity, a heating resistor as a heater heated to a temperature having a predetermined temperature difference from the temperature of air flow being measured, temperature detecting resistors as temperature detecting means on the opposite sides of the heating resistor, a wiring portion composed of an electric conductor having a melting point of 2000°C or above and leading out signal lines from the heating resistor and the temperature detecting resistors, and a pad.

摘要： The invention provides a device for measuring physical quantities having a simplified structure, in which resistance remains unchanged during a long time, and a reliable vehicle control system using such a device. An air flow sensor (20) includes a semiconductor substrate (11) on which a heating resistor (12H) and a thermistor (12C) are formed. The heating resistor (12H) is formed on a thinner area (11A). The ends of the heating resistor (12H) are connected through first leads (13H1, 13H2) to electrodes (14H1, 14H2), respectively. A second lead (15H1) connected with the electrode (14H1) extends to a peripheral part of an air flow sensor (10). A second lead (15H2, 15H3) connected with the electrode (14H2) also extends to a peripheral part of the air flow sensor (10), but there is an electrical discontinuity (16) in the second lead.

摘要： A thermal type flow measuring device comprising: an heating resistor (HF); a temperature measuring resistor (Ru) upstream of the heating resistor (HF) with respect to a fluid (Q); and a temperature measuring resistor (Rd) downstream of the heating resistor (HF). A heat sensitive resistance element (CF), the upstream temperature measuring resistor (Ru) and the downstream temperature measuring resistor (Rd) form a first bridge circuit, and this first bridge circuit and the heating resistor (HF) form a second bridge circuit. Feedback control means (OP1, Tr) heat the heating resistor (HF) on the basis of the balance keeping output of the second bridge circuit. The distance between the heat sensitive resistance element (CF) and the heating resistor (HF) is larger than the distance between the upstream temperature measuring resistor (Ru) or the downstream heat sensitive resistor (Rd) and the heating resistor (HF) so that the heat sensitive resistor element (CF) is positioned to receive less thermal influences from the heating resistor (HF) than the upstream temperature measuring resistor (Ru) and the downstream heat sensitive resistor (Rd), and so that the upstream temperature measuring resistor or the downstream temperature measuring resistor is heated by the heating resistor thereby to measure the flow rate of the fluid on the basis of an output for keeping the balance of the first bridge circuit.

摘要： In a thermal type air flowmeter, an air flow rate measuring element and the intake air temperature measuring element of an intake air temperature sensor are mounted on a single support made of glass ceramic or the like and positioned in an intake passage. The support is held by a holder attached to the pipe wall of an intake pipe. Both surfaces of part of the support that are away from the pipe wall of the intake pipe are constructed such that their heat can be easily removed by air flowing in the intake pipe. Disposed on the heat-removed support surfaces are the air flow rate measuring element and the intake air temperature element. These elements are electrically connected respectively to conductors disposed on the support, and these electric connections are sealed by resin. This allows integration of the intake air temperature sensor and the air flowmeter.

Flow rate detection errors of the thermal air flowmeter caused by overall temperature variation and temperature variation on the wall face of a suction passage can be corrected simultaneously and a thermal air flowmeter exhibiting an enhanced measuring accuracy can be realized.
