    • The present invention relates to a permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine comprising:
      a stator (10); and a rotor (20) disposed opposite to said stator (10) with a gap (30) left therebetween,
      said stator (10) comprising:
      a stator core (11); and stator windings (12) wound over said stator core,
      said stator core (11) comprising:
      an annular yoke core (11a); and a plurality of teeth cores (11b) radially projecting from said yoke core (11a),
      said rotor (20) comprising:
      a rotor core (21); and a plurality of permanent magnets (22) embedded in said rotor core (21),
      wherein a pair of nonmagnetic portions (24) are formed in said rotor core (21) at circumferential opposite ends of said permanent magnet (22) for each magnetic pole, and
      a pair of magnetic path portions (24) are formed by said pair of nonmagnetic portions in areas of said rotor core (21) which are positioned on one side of said pair of nonmagnetic portions closer to said stator (10).
      Said permanent magnet (22) is divided into plural parts and arranged to gradually come closer to said stator (10) while a circumferential magnet position advances from each of opposite ends of a rotor pole toward a center of said rotor pole.
