    • The unit carries out automatically differentiated working cycles in a closed cubicle compartment and is foreseen with two upper openings for hand introduction of plastic containers into one of them (1) and metal ones into the other opening (2). The plastic container is stopped, after having been introduced through opening (1), by a gate (4) on pipe (3) allowing the passage, through its central opening (5), of the container neck only in order to interrupt the flow of the photocell (6) towards the reflector (7). The said photocell activated an electric piston (8) which, by means of an lever (9), lets the gate (4) turn in opening on fulcrum (10). Through a pressing conveyer (11), the accepted container is introduced, by its neck by the intermediate roller pair (25), between the pair of squeezing rollers (12). The recovery body thus obtained falls into the collector (13), which can be taken away by previou­sly opening a door. From the inlet opening (2) on duct (15), the metal container is recognized by a sensor (16) which recogniz­es its kind - either iron or aluminium - in order to qualify or not its payment. In descent in a conveyor (17), the container passes before a counting photocell (18) and is squeezed by a pair of coaxial rollers (19) turning together with other squeezing rollers (12). The relevant recovered body gets outside through a canal (21) after having opened a door (22).

    • The proceeding employs a machine which automatically squeezes the container by maintaining its trim, selects the resulting squeezed shape according to the material by means of a deviator and sends it to discharge determining its stowage in a compact mass stowed in different packing to send for recovering. Fitted into the cavi­ty (2), the container is conveyed by means of a gravitydischarge guide tobe squeezed between a couple of rollers (7 and 8), the low­er (7) of which is moved by inertia and the higher motor-driven one (8) is heated by means of resistances and fitted with a system of linear relief (9) with diecasting points (10) foreseen for this purpose to press the material, which carry out a squeezed form of the recovered material. An infrared photoelectric cell (11) selects the introduced container according to its material and, by means of switch (14), allow to discharge the squeezed form into a collector (13) foreseen for this purpose and hinged on a bagclip (14). When the counter fitted on the unit advices the presence of the foreseen loading forms in the bag, it gives a signal which lets the operator open the entrance lid and unhook and take out the bag, which is then replaced with the empty one in its place.

The knives (24) fitted on the periphery of the two rollers, in outlet ensure the disjonction. For the selection phase, the recovered bodies (29), coming from the first sequence through a hopper (30), fall on the feeding system with vibrating canals, which lets them in a singularizing band (31) with separator (33), where photocells (34) are checking that no superpositions occur. The recover­ed bodies then arrive in a screened radiation zone (35) where an X-ray source (36), properly modulated, sends the rays which are partially absorbed by the recovery bodies (29); this allows a sensor (37), which takes the arrived quantity of energy, to determine the typology of the same body.     • The collection station essentially consists of an ideally cylindrical or parallelepiped compact mass body forming the collecting chamber for used plastic material containers and is equipped in different ways with a suction duct. By means of the said suction duct (9) the containers are then taken away by means of a mobile operative compartment (17).

    • A suction device (1) is used by the mobile set to automatically hook to the putting-out mouth of the station on the ground, which device lets the containers flow together into a hopper (3) by means of a ventilator (2). The loaded material is broken by a turning breaker (8) and falls into a centrifuge (10) where the liquids are separated from the plastic materials. Subsequently a magnetic end instrument (12) keeps back the metal parts whereas the plastic one is at first grinded by a mill (13) and subsequently arrives in a tank (15) wherein washing and degreasant solutions are contained. At the end of the flotation, the product is then discharges, by means of a valve (17), into a lower tank (16) where, in presence of an agitator, a salt solution is used which lets the light materials float whereas the heavy ones sediment on the bottom. Through a valve (18) the product is at last discharg­ed into a centrifuge (19). The drainage product gets out from a higher outlet of this centrifuge and is sent by a fan (2) into a pipe (20) and by a deflector (21) to the stockage containers (22 and 23).
