An emulsion is formed therefrom having particles consisting of polymer chains formed from an organic monomer. Depending on the crosslinker and reaction conditions, these emulsion polymer chains are either crosslinked or uncrosslinked. The uncrosslinked polymer chains are then crosslinked at a later point by the addition of a suitable catalyst.

The silicone rubber powder is prepared by isolating the particles obtained from a polymerization of an unsaturated monomer in the presence of an aqueous emulsion of a unsaturated telechelic polydiorganosiloxane which has been prepared using an organotin curing catalyst and a dihydrolyzable grafting silane.

摘要： A non-crosslinked endblocked polymer, comprising a preformed aqueous emulsion having a plurality of silanol-terminated polydiorganosiloxane particles, an endcapping silane having the formula R 3 SiX where X is a hydrolyzable group, R is an alkyl group consisting of 1 to 7 carbon atoms, and an organotin catalyst. The composition unexpectedly results in a non-crosslinked polymer, unlike the polymers described in the prior art. It has been found that adding an endblocking silane having only one hydrolyzable group to a preformed polydiorganosiloxane emulsion surprisingly results in endblocked polydiorganosiloxane molecules free of crosslinks between the polydiorganosiloxane chains.
