    • A bite-in type pipe joint that has a ferrule formed integrally with a joint member with an external thread and prevents damage to an outer surface of the ferrule so as to avoid decrease of air tightness is provided. Also, a refrigerating apparatus and a water heating device each having the bite-in type pipe joint are provided. By the time the joint members 1, 2 are fastened to each other, the ferrule 3 separates from the joint member 2 and bites into a pipe 4. This structure prevents a distal portion 3a and a tapered surface 31 of the ferrule 3 from being damaged when the joint member 2 is handled.
