    • The invention relates to a device and a method for the thermal transforming of hose blanks from preferably pre-extruded elastic raw hose material, wherein during the transformation the hose blank is arranged in a shell-like, single- or multi-piece moulding tool with a hollow body, wherein the inside of the hollow body corresponds as a negative to the shape to be impressed in the hose blank, wherein the required temperature control of the moulding tool for transformation is performed by jaw-type temperature control elements which close interlockingly over the tool and which are shaped congruently to the outer surface of the tool, while the moulding tool itself does not have any temperature control device, in particular no channels or other cavities for circulating a temperature control medium, and whereby the temperature of each temperature control element is kept constant during the course of the process, while another temperature control element with a corresponding constant temperature is moved up to the moulding tool to change the temperature of the moulding tool. With the device according to the invention, the moulding tool is free from inner channels and other cavities for the circulating of a temperature control medium; while for temperature control, the moulding tool temperature control elements separated therefrom are provided with semi- or part shells which close interlockingly over the tool, the insides of said temperature control elements, which insides face the moulding tool, are formed congruently to the outside of the moulding tool, and the temperature control elements comprise a device in order to keep the temperature of each temperature control element constant during the course of the process, and wherein at least one mechanism is provided so that the various temperature control elements with different temperatures can be selectively closed around the moulding tool.

    • The present invention relates to a tamponade for nasal cavities or sinus cavities, for the uniform force-applying tamponade of a cavity of the nasal tract in the region of an ostium leading to the cavity, comprising a thin-walled balloon made from a soft foil-like, only slightly expandable, smoothly folding polyurethane material, with a wall thickness in the range of 5 to 50 μm, which is already completely shaped with the required tamponade dimensions or greater at the time of production, thus to be expanded without application of filling pressure, which balloon in the filled condition thereof occupies the respective, generally irregular-shaped cavity and the ostium of same, through the development of forces, that are as uniform as possible, on the structures exposed to the balloon, in such a way that a distal segment of the balloon is located inside the cavity to be applied with a tamponade, a proximal segment of the balloon is located in front of the cavity and a transostial segment of the balloon extends through the ostium and connects the distal segment of the balloon to the proximal segment of the balloon, wherein the transostial segment of the balloon is tapered in relation to the proximal and distal segment of the balloon in the deployed state of the balloon, and the device is anchored in the transition region and reliably secured in position.
