    • According to the invention, a method and a device for explosion forming a tubular workpiece, which comprises a multi-piece shaping tool (1) which almost completely surrounds the workpiece when in the closed state and which is provided with a stopper (10) in the region of at least one end of the shaping tool (1), may be improved such that the tubular workpiece can be shaped in a simple and economical manner requiring fewer individual working steps. The end of the workpiece is tensed and deformed between the stopper (10) and the shaping tool (1).
