    • The invention relates to a servo brake for a motor vehicle brake system of the 'brake by wire' type, which can be activated by means of a brake pedal and by means of an electronic controller depending on the driver's input, and independently of the driver's input, wherein the coupling of the brake pedal, or of a servo part firmly connected to the brake pedal is configured on an input member of the servo brake such that a limited relative motion of the brake pedal, or of the servo part firmly connected to the brake pedal, is possible in relation to the input member, thus ensuring a decoupling of the servo connection between the brake pedal, or the servo part firmly connected to the brake pedal, particularly in the 'brake by wire' operating mode. In order to minimize the friction occurring with the activation of the servo brake between the servo part and the input member, the invention provides that the servo part (10) firmly connected to the brake pedal (4), and/or the input member (7) of the servo brake is/are equipped with means in the region of the relative motion of the two parts (10, 7, or 8), wherein the means reduce friction created with the relative motion of the parts (10, 7, or 8) to each other.
