    • The present disclosure provides a battery management system (100) and a communication method (500) thereof. The method (500) includes: determining, by a main BMU (M 1 ), from a plurality of managed units (S 0 , S 1 , S n ) a first fault unit that communicates abnormally with the main BMU (M 1 ), and transmitting, by the main BMU (M 1 ), to a backup BMU (M 2 ) a fault frequency at which the first fault unit communicates abnormally with the main BMU (M 1 ) (S510); selecting, by the backup BMU (M 2 ), from the plurality of managed units (S 0 , S 1 , S n ) a managed unit that communicates normally with both the backup BMU (M 2 ) and the first fault unit as a first target unit (S520); transmitting, by the backup BMU (M 2 ), first frequency conversion information to the first fault unit through the first target unit based on the fault frequency, wherein the first frequency conversion information is to instruct the first fault unit to convert its frequency to a first frequency (S530); converting, by the first fault unit, its frequency to the first frequency (S540); transmitting the first frequency to the main BMU (M 1 ) if the backup BMU (M 2 ) communicates normally with the first fault unit using the first frequency (S550); and communicating, by the main BMU (M 1 ), with the first fault unit using the first frequency (S560). According to the battery management system (100) and the communication method (500) thereof according to embodiments of the present disclosure, the reliability of communication in the battery management system can be improved.

According to the battery management system (100) and the communication method (500) thereof according to embodiments of the present disclosure, the reliability of communication in the battery management system can be improved.

    • The embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a battery management system. The battery management system comprises: a battery management unit, configured to receive status information of a battery module and status information of a battery pack, and to transmit a control instruction to one or more cell measurement circuits; the one or more cell measurement circuits, configured to collect the status information of the battery module, to transmit the status information of the battery module to the battery management unit, and to receive and execute the control instruction transmitted from the battery management unit; one or more sensing units, configured to collect the status information of the battery pack, and to transmit the status information of the battery pack to the battery management unit; wherein a wireless communication unit is disposed in the battery management unit, and a wireless communication unit is disposed in at least a portion of the one or more cell measurement circuits and/or at least a portion of the one or more sensing units, so that the battery management unit is connected to at least the portion of the one or more cell measurement circuits and/or at least the portion of the one or more sensing units by wireless communication.
