摘要： A developing device (4), detachably mountable to an image forming apparatus main body (100A), includes a developing frame (31), a developing roller (25), and electric contact points (44, 45, 46, 47, 48) disposed at one end in an axial direction of the developing roller (25). The developing device (4) is pivotably centered on a pivot axis (Y) parallel to the axial direction of the developing roller (25), and electrically conducts with the image forming apparatus main body (100A) via the electric contact points (44, 45, 46, 47, 48) when mounted. In a plane perpendicular to the axial direction of the developing roller (25), a position of the pivot axis (Y) is within a polygon having a greatest area formed of outer shapes of the electric contact points (44, 45, 46, 47, 48) and straight lines connecting the outer shapes of the electric contact points (44, 45, 46, 47, 48).
