摘要： A battery connector assist unit (40) comprises a base (42) having means to secure a battery connector first part thereto and a slidable member (44) interconnected to the base with the slidable member having a slide base (50) having an upper surface (51) and a lower surface (52). The lower surface (52) is adjacent to the base (42). The slidable member also has a pair of smooth-sided cantilevered beams (60) extending therefrom for temporarily retaining a battery connector second part (26) and for transmitting force from the slidable member (44) to the connector. The slidable member has a handle member (57) easily accessible to assist in moving the connector parts into and out of mating relationship. The base has a slot (63) therein and the slidable member (44) has means (65) to engage the slot. A cover plate (46) is provided.
