摘要： A method produces a liquid ejecting head having an ejection outlet for ejecting a liquid, a heat generating element for applying thermal energy to said liquid, a liquid flow path comprised of a first path portion in fluid communication with said ejection outlet and a second path portion disposed below said first path portion and provided with said heat generating element in a bottom surface thereof, a partition wall for partitioning said liquid flow path into said first path portion and second path portion, and a movable member disposed above said heat generating element in said portion wall and arranged as displaceable to a side of the first path portion in accordance with a bubble generated in the liquid by said thermal energy in which upon generation of said bubble the first path portion and the second path portion are in fluid communication with each other and said pressure is directed toward said ejection outlet by said movable member displaced to eject said liquid droplet. The method comprises a step of preparing a substrate provided with said heat generating element, a step of forming a grooved partition wall having said movable member and side walls of said second path portion, and a step of joining said grooved partition wall to said substrate to form said second path portion.

摘要： A liquid ejecting head capable of ejecting liquids in different conditions comprises an ejection outlet for ejecting a liquid; a liquid flow path for supplying the liquid to said ejection outlet, said liquid flow path having bubble generation heat means used to eject the liquid and capable of selectively generating bubbles having different sizes; and a movable mechanism having at least one movable member arranged to face a bubble generation region formed in said liquid flow path by said bubble generation heat means. (A) a graft copolymerized polymer having a number average molecular weight of 5,000 or more and a weight average molecular weight of 50,000 or less which comprises a trunk chain composed mainly of structural units derived from at least one monomer (hereinafter referred to as "monomer (a)") selected from the group consisting of alkyl methacrylates, acrylonitrile and stylene and has graft chains having structural units derived from at least one monomer (hereinafter referred to as "monomer (b)") selected from the group consisting of the monomers represented by the following formula x and other monomers presented by the formula y:

(wherein R 1 is hydrogen or an alkyl or hydroxyalkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R 2 is hydrogen or an alkyl or acyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms which may have hydroxy group, R 3 is an alkyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, a halogen-substituted alkyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkylether group represented by the formula:
(wherein 2≦m + n≦6, n≠O and m≠0), or a phenylalkyl group represented by the formula:
(wherein 2≦m + n≦4, or the case where n = 0 or m = 0 is contained), added to said trunk chain;
