摘要： An image forming apparatus (1) is provided. A development cartridge (20) having a first memory (50) storing therein cartridge information is detachably mountable to the image forming apparatus (1). The image forming apparatus (1) includes: an apparatus casing (2) and an exposure unit (18) having plural light emitting portions. The exposure unit (18) is supported by the apparatus casing (2) so that the light emitting portions face a photosensitive member (28) rotatably supported by the apparatus casing (2). The image forming apparatus (1) further includes a reader unit (15) disposed on the exposure unit (18) and configured to read the cartridge information from the first memory (50) when the development cartridge (20) is mounted to the image forming apparatus (1).
