摘要： A charge pump circuit circuit that supplies current to an offset current of an output signal for an oscillating circuit is disclosed. The charge pump circuit circuit includes a first switch and a second switch. The first switch is coupled to a gate of an output diode that provides a charge up current from the charge pump circuit circuit. A second switch is coupled to a source of the output diode and supplies the charge up current to the output diode. The first switch comprises a first state and the second switch comprises a second state that is opposite the first state. Thus, when the second switch is on, the first switch is off. The charge pump circuit circuit also includes a capacitance to hold a bias voltage when the first switch is off.

摘要： A stacked synthesizer for wide local oscillator (LO) generation using a dynamic divider. The phase locked loop can include a plurality of voltage controlled oscillators (VCO s ), and a selector that can be configured to select an output of one of the plurality of VCOs. The selected output of one of the plurality of VCOs can be provided to an on-chip dynamic divider and to an off-chip dynamic divider for LO sharing. The dynamic dividers can be configured to generate synthesizer outputs based on a multiplication of the selected output of one of the plurality of VCOs by a factor (1 + 1/M), where M is a variable number.

摘要： A varactor-based ring oscillator to produce an output signal and method therefore are disclosed. The ring oscillator includes a first phase shift circuit having a first pole. The ring oscillator also includes a second phase shift circuit having a second pole and a third phase shift circuit having a third pole. The output of the third phase shift circuit is cross-coupled to the input of the first phase shift circuit. A phase shift circuit of the ring oscillator includes a pole that has a varactor and generates phase shift for the phase shift circuit. The varactor can be adjusted or varied to tune, the phase shift, the phase shift circuit and the frequency of the oscillator. If the varactor is in the final phase shift circuit of the oscillator, the varactor is coupled to a diode that supplies voltage to the varactor. A voltage control signal is applied to the pole, and to the oscillator, to generate the output signal having a specified frequency.

The noise reduction circuit also includes a degeneration circuit coupled to the supply of the current source that reduces the supply noise component. The current source generates an input signal to control the oscillating circuit with reduced noise.
