摘要： The invention relates to a curling iron (1) that consists of a tubular heating rod (25) and a heating element (17) extending in the longitudinal direction of the heating rod. The curling iron (1) further comprises a fuel container for receiving and dispensing a liquid fuel, and a valve device (5) for gasifying and regulating the fuel. The heating element (17) is controlled depending on the temperature by a thermostat (6) disposed in the vicinity of the heating element. According to the inventive curling iron, the thermostat is thermally shielded from the heating element (17) by a separation wall (49), thereby allowing to better control the temperature behavior of the heating rod and to prevent excessive temperature peaks.

摘要： The invention relates to a catalytic gas combustion engine for an appliance for personal use, especially a hair styling device, such as curling tongs (1) or a hairdryer, comprising a gas delivery device (12) and a catalyst (5) which is connected to said gas delivery device. An ignition device (38, 39) which is controlled by an ignition system is provided for igniting the gas-air mixture and initiating catalytic combustion on the catalyst (5). According to the invention, the gas delivery device (12) has a bypass (40) for diverting a partial gas stream which flows against the ignition device (38, 39). This enables the ignition system to be activated shortly after the gas valve device has been opened and the catalyst can be heated to its operating temperature by the explosion of the gas-air mixture. In addition to the short waiting times for the start of the catalyst (5), the invention also provides a catalytic gas combustion device which functions better and reacts more quickly.

摘要： The invention relates to a hair shaping device (1), especially a steam styling tong, comprising a tubular drum (3) for treating the hair which is provided with ducts (2). A dosing device (26) projects out of the drum (3). When said dosing device is activated, liquid is discharged from an outlet (18) of a liquid container (19), via a liquid guiding device (17). An evaporation device (13) which is provided with heat by a heating device (12) is configured in the drum (3). Said evaporation device consists of an evaporating surface (16) which is in thermal contact with the heating device (12). The discharged liquid evaporates to steam on the evaporating surface. The steam then enters a steam distribution chamber (91), where it flows outwards through the ducts (2). The heating device (12) is configured in a combustion chamber (7) of the drum (3) in which a gas is flamelessly combusted with a catalyst (8) during the heating process. The resulting combustion gases are discharged through outlets (2) configured on the drum (3) or on the combustion chamber (7). According to the invention, the combustion chamber (7) and the steam distribution chamber (91) are formed by a common chamber (87). Means (26, 17) for preventing water from entering the common chamber (87) are also provided. This simplifies the construction of the hair shaping device, hereby reducing production costs, while still ensuring reliable combustion.
