    • The invention relates to a structurally viscous powder clearcoat slurry that is free from organic solvents and external emulsifiers and that comprises solid and/or highly viscous particles that are dimensionally stable under the conditions of storage and use. The slurry is characterized in that 1) the particles (1.1) have an average particle size of 1.0 to 20 νm, with 99 % of the particles having a particle size of ≤30 νm, and 1.2) contain, as the binder, at least one polyol with an OH number >110 mg KOH/g, containing potentially ionic groups. Furthermore, 2) the powder clearcoat slurry has 2.1) a content of potentially ionic groups of 0.05 to 1 meq/g of the solid body, 2.2) at a neutralization degree of not more than 50 % a content in ionic groups produced by neutralization of the potentially ionic groups of 0.005 to 0.1 meq/g of the solid body, and 2.3) a viscosity of (i) 50 to 1000 mPas at a shearing rate of 1000 s-1, (ii) 150 to 8000 mPas at a shearing rate of 10 s-1 and (iii) 180 to 12000 mPas at a shearing rate of 1 s-1. The invention further relates to the use of the corresponding slurries.
