    • The present invention relates to a device (10) for providing a compensated measurement of the level of a liquid (14) in a tank (12). The device comprises a transducer (16) adapted to transmit and receive acoustic signals; a waveguide (20) connected to the transducer and adapted to extend into the liquid; collecting means (28, 44, 46, 50) for collecting free-moving portions of said liquid; and directing means (34, 38, 40, 42, 48, 50 ) for directing fluid originating from liquid collected by the collecting means into or along a portion of the waveguide which during operation is located above the liquid level. The present invention also relates to a corresponding method.

    • The present invention relates to a device (10) for providing a temperature compensated measurement of the level of a liquid (14) in a tank (12; 30). The device comprises a transducer (22) for transmitting and receiving acoustic signals, and a waveguide (24) connected to the transducer and adapted to extend into the liquid. The device is characterized by means (16; 18; 40) for directing a flow of liquid originating from the tank of along the exterior of a portion of the waveguide which during operation is located above the liquid level. The present invention also relates to a corresponding method for providing a temperature compensated measurement of the level of a liquid in a tank.

    • The present invention relates to a transducer device (10), comprising: an acoustic membrane (14); a piezoelectric element (12) mounted to the acoustic membrane; two oppositely arranged elastic damping elements (16a, 16b) between which a peripheral portion (22) of the acoustic membrane is sandwichably supported; and a clamp (28) having two surfaces (30a, 30b) between which the two elastic damping elements are clamped so that the two elastic damping elements are pressed together, whereby the peripheral portion of the acoustic membrane is secured between the two elastic damping elements. The present invention also relates to a method of assembling such a transducer device.
