    • A thrust bearing assembly for retaining a ball screw (108) of an actuator in a housing (86) and driving a position sensor in a control system. The thrust bearing assembly (110) has a cylindrical body (114) with an annular radial projection (122) having parallel first and second inner outer race surfaces (128, 130, 148, 154). Gear teeth (124) are located on the peripheral surface (126) of the radial projection (122). First and second roller bearing (150, 156) and associated first and second outer races are located on said cylindrical body. A locating plate (159) attached the housing urges the second outer race toward the housing to bring the second roller bearing into engagement with the second inner race and the first inner race into engagement with the first roller bearing and first outer face to fix the position of the ball screw in the housing. The ball screw (108) is connected to receive rotary torque from a drive gear to position a translating ball nut within the housing. Rotation of the ball screw correspondingly rotates the cylindrical body such that the gear teeth on the peripheral surface provides a sensor (112) with a signal indicative of the location of the ball nut within the housing.

    • Soupape possédant des premier et second champignons (64, 78) servant à réguler l'écoulement d'un fluide depuis un orifice d'entrée (24) jusqu'à un orifice de sortie (26). La soupape possède un corps cylindrique (38) doté d'un alésage central par lequel s'écoule le fluide provenant du second champignon et qui se mélange ensuite avec l'écoulement de fluide externe régulé par le premier champignon. Une gaine (72) faisant partie du second champignon est concentrique par rapport au corps cylindrique. La gaine possède une collerette (76) qui se loge dans une rainure (66) située sur la surface périphérique du corps cylindrique. Un élément souple (70) situé dans la rainure, agit sur la collerette pour pousser la gaine vers une butée. Le corps cylindrique est relié à un élément d'entraînement servant à déplacer les premier et second champignons par rapport aux premier et second sièges correspondants (30, 32) et permettant au fluide de s'écouler depuis l'orifice d'entrée jusqu'à l'orifice de sortie. Sur la gaine, une surface forme le second champignon qui entre en contact avec le second siège avant que le premier champignon entre en contact avec ledit premier siège, lorsque l'élément d'entraînement déplace le corps cylindrique vers une position de repos. En outre, le mouvement du corps cylindrique vers la position de repos, comprimant l'élément souple entre la gaine et le corps cylindrique, réalise un joint d'étanchéité entre ces deux éléments et réalise un autre joint d'étanchéité entre le premier champignon et le premier siège qui empêche toute fuite de fluide interne dans la soupape.

    • In a valve having first and second poppet members (64, 78) which control the flow of fluid from an entrance port (24) to an outlet port (26). The valve has a cylindrical body (38) with a center bore through which fluid from the second poppet member flows and is thereafter combined with the external fluid flow controlled by the first poppet member. A sleeve (72) which forms a part of the second poppet member is concentric to the cylindrical body. The sleeve has a flange (76) that is located in a groove (66) on the peripheral surface of the cylindrical body. A flexible member (70) located in the groove and acts of the flange to urge the sleeve toward a stop. The cylindrical body is connected to an actuation member for moving the first and second poppet members with respect to corresponding first and second seats (30, 32) and allowing fluid to flow from the entrance port to the outlet port. A surface on the sleeve forms the second poppet which engages the second seat prior to the first poppet engaging said first seat as the actuation member moves the cylindrical body toward the rest position. Further movement of the cylindrical body toward the rest position, compressing the flexible member between the sleeve and cylindrical body to effect a seal therebetween and to provide a seal between the first poppet and first seat to prevent internal fluid leakage through the valve.
