    • The present application discloses a data processing method and device. The method includes: receiving a data update request sent by a user; sending a log update instruction separately to a primary server and at least two secondary servers based on the data update request; and when it is determined that the log update operation is completed, sending a data storage instruction separately to the primary server and a first secondary server in the at least two secondary servers. When the data update request is received, the log update instruction can be sent to the primary server and the secondary servers, so that the primary server and the secondary servers perform a log update operation, and the data storage instruction is sent to the primary server and one of the secondary servers when it is determined that the log update operation is completed. When data in the secondary server is lost, the lost data can be restored by using the prestored log, so as to ensure data consistency between the primary server and the secondary server, and only the primary server and one of the secondary servers store the data updates, thereby effectively reducing resources needed for data storage.

    • One embodiment of the present invention provides a system for facilitating dynamic load-based merging. During operation, the system identifies incremental data in memory of a first computing device. The incremental data comprises update to reference data in a storage device in a second computing device. If the size of the incremental data becomes greater than a threshold, the system selects a first server group from a plurality of server groups. The second computing device belongs to this first server group. The system then migrates data access requests from the first server group to other server groups in the plurality of server groups and merges the incremental data from the memory of the first computing device to the storage device in the second computing device. The merging includes batch sequential disk writes to the storage device of the second computing device.

    • The present application discloses a time-based node election method and apparatus. The method includes: configuring, by a host, a same voting time and a same vote counting time for all nodes; and sending time configuration information that carries the configured voting time and vote counting time to all the nodes, so that the nodes vote in the voting time, count the number of votes in the vote counting time, and elect a leader node according to a vote counting result. Campaign nodes synchronously perform the voting operation and the vote counting operation according to the same voting time and the same vote counting time that are configured by the host, thus overcoming the defect in the prior art that the timing of each node for voting and vote counting is uncertain, so that the efficiency of determining a leader node in a node election process is significantly improved.
