    • The invention relates to an implant (10) for alleviating pressure on intervertebral disks, said implant being used for the adjustment and pressure alleviation of an intervertebral space in a human or animal spinal column. The inventive implant comprises at least two bearing elements (24, 26) for each spiny process (14, 16), for applying and/or fixing the implant to one or two spiny processes of adjacent vertebrae of the spinal column. The aim of the invention is to improve one such implant in such a way that, as far as possible, only one operation is required for the adjustment and pressure alleviation of an intervertebral space. To this end, the implant (10) is produced from a biocompatible, resorbable material. The invention also relates to a method for the adjustment and pressure alleviation of an intervertebral space in a human or animal spinal column.
