    • A method of winding an armature (R) of an electric rotating machine is disclosed, wherein vectors representing amounts of unbalance measured at the respective winding portions are composed to obtain a basic resultant vector which in turn is split into two components directed along two adjacent winding portions, the two components are then used to calculate amounts of unbalance based on which the number of turns of two armature windings to be wound around said two adjacent winding portions is corrected and the number of turns of armature windings to be wound around the respective winding portions is determined, and finally, the armature windings are formed around the respective winding portions based on the determined number of turns.
