摘要： There are provided a method for easily and economically manufacturing a vacuum heat insulator in which the decrease in degree of vacuum is suppressed in a long-term use, and a vacuum heat insulator in which the decrease in degree of vacuum is suppressed in a long-term use. A method for manufacturing a vacuum heat insulator, including the steps of: 1) housing the core member (4) in an envelope (3) having an unwelded part; 2), after 1), welding the heat-weld layers (1) of the envelope under reduced pressure while leaving an unwelded part of a predetermined width from an outer edge of the envelope (3) housing the core member (4); 3) cleaning the surfaces of the unwelded part left outside the welded part (X1, X2); and 4I) forming a protective welded (Y) part by heat-welding the cleaned surfaces.
