摘要： A converter has a resonant circuit with an auxiliary valve (18), an inductor (17) and capacitive means (15) for assisting in the commutation of the converter. A control device (24) is adapted to control turn-on and turn-off of gate turn-off semiconductor elements of current valves of the converter and controllable semiconductor devices of the auxiliary valve. Means are provided for measuring the current in a phase terminal (10) of the converter. Upon commutation of the phase current from a gate turn-off semiconductor element (13) of one current valve to a rectifier member (14) of another current valve, the auxiliary valve is turned on with a variable time lag after turn-off of the first valve. Means are provided to determine the magnitude of the time lag in dependence on the magnitude of the direction of the measured phase current.

A control arrangement (24) is adapted to control turning-on and turning-off of controllable semiconductor devices of the main valve of the converter and controllable semiconductor components of the auxiliary valve. Means are arranged for measuring the current in the phase output (10) of the converter. When carrying out two subsequent commutation processes for changing the phase potential on the phase output from the potential of a first of the poles of a direct voltage side of the converter to that of a second of the poles and then back to the one of the first pole the second commutation process is started before the first one has been completed.
