摘要： The present invention relates to a method of and an apparatus for mixing large amounts of gas with medium consistency (8 - 25 %) fiber suspensions by means of rotatable rotor arranged within a mixing chamber provided with various mixing members, the method mainly comprising the steps of a) introducing said gas and said fiber suspension into the mixer, b) mixing said gas with the fluidized pulp while simultaneously throttling the flow in order to prevent the influence of the pressure fluctuations due to the inlet and/or outlet flow of the fiber suspension on the mixing process and minimizing gas separation, and c) discharging the gas-fiber suspension mixture from the mixer.

摘要： A centrifugal pump for pumping fiber suspensions includes a centrifugal pumping housing (50) having an inlet (52) and an outlet for the suspension and a centrifugal impeller within the centrifugal pump housing. A vacuum pump (70) is placed adjacent the centrifugal pump housing (50) and includes a vacuum pump chamber defined by first and second opposed side walls (110, 112) and a vacuum pump rotor which is eccentrically mounted within the vacuum pump chamber. The rotor has radially extending opposed side edges facing the vacuum pump side walls (110, 112) forming a clearance therebetween. The pump includes a conduit within at least one of the vacuum pump side walls (110, 112) for supplying a sealing liquid to the clearance (122) between the rotor and at least one of the side walls of the vacuum pump chamber (76). Flushing liquid may be supplied through the same sealing liquid conduits or separately therefrom. The centrifugal pump may include a fluidizing impeller.

摘要： The present invention discloses a method and a centrifugal pump for pumping fiber suspensions of the pulp and paper industry in which the fiber suspension is caused to flow into a centrifugal pump housing in which space a vortex flow is created to prevent the suspension from forming a strong fiber network and from causing blockage of the system.
The centrifugal pump includes a housing provided with one inlet (22) and at least two non-symmetrical outlets (92, 94), at least one of the outlets being preferably provided with a means for regulating the flow through the outlet. The centrifugal pump further includes an impeller/rotor (78, 80) for moving the suspension through the several outlets (92, 94) towards further processing devices.
