    • This invention relates to a hydraulic servo valve comprising spools (10, 10R, 10L) which undergo displacement inside a valve body (1), switch the direction of an operating fluid and change its flow rate; nozzle back-pressure chambers (18, 18R, 18L) to which a pilot pressure for causing displacement of the spools (10, 10R, 10L) is applied; and a flapper mechanism consisting of nozzles (19, 19R, 19L) and ,flappers (20, 20R, 20L). Static pressure bearings 1( 1 4R, 1 4L, 141R, 141L, 142R, 142L) are formed at both ends of the spools (10, 10R, 10L) so as to define the passage of the operating fluid extending from a pump port (P) to the nozzle back-pressure chambers (18, 18R, 18L) through the static pressure bearings (14R, 14L, 141 R, 141L, 142R, 142L).
