    • A skin adhesion apparatus includes an upper mold half (12) and a lower mold half (15). The upper mold half and the lower mold half clamps a core material and a skin (18) laid on the core material so that the skin is adhered to a surface of the core material. Disposed along a mold surface of the upper mold half is a tubular member (20) made of elastic material. The skin adhesion apparatus also includes a pump for supplying fluid into the tubular member. When adhering the skin to the core material, the upper mold half is pulled down and then stopped at a predetermined distance above the core material. After then, fluid is supplied into the tubular member so that the fluid pressure inflates the tubular member.

    • An object of the present invention is to provide a bonding structure for a surge tank, a surge tank and an intake manifold, that are not affected by air leakage as a result of having sufficient strength to withstand the application of substantial stress.
      The bonding structure for a surge tank that is formed by using vibration welding to bond together respective end surfaces of at least two separately formed surge tank segments (1, 2). A first one of the surge tank segments (1) includes a connection-use protrusion (12) that forms a periphery of the end surface thereof, and a second one of the surge tank segments (2) includes a pair of grooves (23, 24) on the end surface thereof, and a connection-use protruding receiving surface portion (22) which forms a periphery of the end surface and which is disposed between the pair of grooves. The connection-use protrusion (12) and the connection-use protruding receiving surface portion (22) are positioned so as to be offset from respective center points of the end surfaces toward respective inside surface sides thereof.

    • A sealing member 14 has a main seal 15 and a sub seal 21. The sub seal 21 is integrally formed with a first connecting element 20 that extends from the main seal 15. The first connecting element 20 has an upper bent portion 23a and a lower bent portion 23b. The sub seal 21 is at a higher position than the main seal 15 due to the upper and lower bent portions 23a, 23b.
