    • A system (10) implementing a method for determining QoS degradations comprises:
      - receiving alarms (a) from application layer (20) or from network nodes (31) of a MPLS network, including Passive Traffic Analyzer (32), Physical Layer Monitoring (33) and MPLS OAM (34) nodes.
      - depending on the alarm, the system (10) requests testing (d) for location and the network nodes (31) answer back with location (e),
      - once the fault is located, the system (10) starts traffic restoration (h) via MPLS Signaling (35) and receives the result (i),
      - the system (10) may need to consult the System Database (36), optionally query (b) - reply (c) step before requesting location, while query (f) - response (g) step is mandatory before restoration (h),
      - once traffic restored, further testing by the network nodes (31) and/or the application layer (20) are triggered (j) by the system (10) to ensure the correct overall QoS within the new network situation,
      - a loop (i) of further restoration can be triggered by the system (10) until a global stable non-degraded behavior is declared.
