摘要： The present invention provides a fuel supply system and a method for operating a pressurized fuel reservoir. The method for supplying fuel comprising the steps: ; monitoring a pressure of a fuel reservoir in a fuel tank; pressurizing the fuel reservoir by a spring element; delivering fuel requested by an engine from the fuel reservoir; if the pressure of the fuel reservoir is lower than or equal to a first preset value, pumping fuel from the fuel tank to the fuel reservoir until the pressure reaches or exceeds a second preset value, wherein the pressurized fuel reservoir comprises a compressed gas as a spring element.

- a fluid dosing pump, activated by a coil, and
- an electronic module, adapted to feed the coil with a driving voltage.
The method comprises monitoring the evolution of current (l p ) flowing through the coil and the evolution of the time derivative (dl/dt) of said current (l p ), wherein monitoring the evolution of the current time derivative comprises monitoring two successive zero crossings of the time derivative (dlt) of the current flowing through the coil.
