The filter bag (10) is formed from a porous filter material such as a non-woven spunbond polymer having marginal seams (28,32,34,36) formed by direct welding, in the absence of additional adhesive material, to form a reinforced cuff defining an open bag (30) mouth leading to a hollow bag interior. The cuff is configured for removable attachment to a downstream end of a pool cleaner suction mast (24), as by removable connection to a mounting collar (38) as disclosed in U.S. Patents 5,863,425; D409,341; D468,067; and 6,740,233. The filter bag (10) incorporates a ported tab (14) formed generally at an upper end thereof for facilitated removable coupling to a pool cleaner supply hose (16) or the like which supports the filter bag (10) in a generally upright orientation.

摘要： A magnetic control valve is provided in a suction powered pool cleaner (10) of the type for vacuuming dirt and debris from submerged floor and side wall surfaces of a swimming pool. The pool cleaner comprises a head defining a suction inlet (34) for vacuum inflow of water and debris into a plenum chamber (40), and further through a suction tube (42) adapted for connection via a vacuum hose (14) to a conventional pool water filtration system (12). The control valve includes an oscillatory valve member (64) movable between open and substantially closed positions relative to an upstream end of the suction tube to produce pressure fluctuations causing the cleaner to advance in steps over submerged pool surfaces. Oscillatory driving of the valve head is assisted by permanent magnets (74, 76, 78) mounted on the valve member and cleaner head to generate repulsion forces as the valve head respectively approaches the open and closed positions.

摘要： An improved motor-driven pump is provided for delivering a flow of water in a swimming pool or spa environment or the like. The improved pump includes a motor mounted within a motor housing having a seal plate mounted at one end thereof. The seal plate carries a shaft bearing for rotatably supporting a drive shaft having an outboard end connected to an impeller disposed within a pump chamber defined cooperatively by the seal plate and a volute housing mounted thereon. 摘要： A floating skimmer is provided for use with a pool cleaner of the type powered by a suction or vacuum source, such as by connecting the pool cleaner via a vacuum hose or the like to the suction side of conventional pool water filtration equipment, wherein the floating skimmer is coupled along the vacuum hose and functions to collect debris picked up by the pool cleaner as well as floating debris such as leaves and the like on the pool water surface. The floating skimmer comprises a buoyant housing having a perforated collection basket therein defining a primary debris collection chamber adapted for in-line connection along the vacuum hose to capture debris entrained with water drawn from the suction-powered pool cleaner to the filtration system. The perforated basket additionally defines a secondary debris collection chamber for capturing floating surface debris drawn over at least one weir, with a flow control valve assembly regulating the weir surface flow to insure that a sufficient flow is drawn through the pool cleaner for proper pool cleaner operation. A water level regulator float responds to the water level within the skimmer housing to variably open and close submerged auxiliary intake ports therein to maintain the water level generally between predetermined maximum and minimum limits. The collection basket is mounted within the buoyant housing for quick and easy removal as needed to dispose of collected debris.
