    • An economical branch pipe liner bag (1) is provided which allows for a reduction in manufacturing cost, stabilized quality, and mass-production, and does not have any portion to be wasted when used. One end of a tubular resin absorbent material (3) impregnated with an unhardened hardenable resin is outwardly folded and pressed to form an extension (3a) which is sandwiched between separate flange forming members (4,5) to form a flange (6) at the one end of the tubular resin absorbent material, thus constructing the branch pipe liner bag. Since the branch pipe liner bag has the flange (6) formed at one end by integrally coupling the flange forming members (4,5), which are members separate from the tubular resin absorbent material (3), the flange forming members can be mechanically mass-produced independently of the tubular resin absorbent material, with the result that the manufacturing cost of these flange forming members is reduced, and consequently the manufacturing cost of the branch pipe liner bag is reduced.

    • A branch pipe lining method is provided which utilizes a branch pipe liner bag (1) composed of a tubular resin-absorbent material (2) having a flange (3) formed at one end thereof, wherein the outer surface of the tubular resin-absorbent material is covered with a highly air-tight film (4), and the tubular resin-absorbent material is impregnated with an unhardened hardenable resin, and a cylindrical fluid pressure sealing member (5) is attached to the inner surface of the flange (3). A cylindrical front end nozzle (16) attached to an opening at one end of a pressure bag (13) is inserted into the fluid pressure sealing member (5) of the branch pipe liner bag (1), and the front end nozzle (16) and the fluid pressure sealing member (5) are sealed by an elastic member (17) interposed therebetween. Then, a pressurized fluid is supplied into the pressure bag (13), with the flange (3) of the branch pipe liner bag (1) being in close contact with an opening of a branch pipe (11), to evert and insert the branch pipe liner bag (1) into the branch pipe (11) from a main pipe (10) toward the ground. The hardenable resin impregnated in the branch pipe liner bag (1) is hardened with the inserted branch pipe liner bag being pressed onto an inner wall of the branch pipe (11), followed by pulling the front end nozzle (16) out from the fluid pressure sealing member (5) to tear the pressure bag (13) off the branch pipe liner bag (1).
