    • An external wound fixing device which allows a bone and a bone piece to be moved freely and deformation thereof to be corrected while lessening a burden on a wearer, and which can be attached easily without requiring skill or experience of a technician by simplifying the structure. The external wound fixing device (1) comprises a pair of holding members (2, 3) for holding/securing rod-like members (61, 62) being inserted, respectively, into first part (9B2) and second part (9B3) of a bone (9B) on the opposite sides of a virtual fulcrum (9B1), and a coupling member (4) for coupling the holding members (2, 3). The virtual fulcrum is determined by any one of the center of deformation, the center of rotation of bone pieces holding a fracture part or a correction bone cut part between them, and the movable center of a joint part. The coupling member (4) has a pair of arms (41, 42) being fixed rotatably to one end of each of the holding members (2, 3), respectively, and the pair of arms (41, 42) are coupled rotatably. Rotational axes (A1, B1, C1) of these arms (41, 42) are directed toward the virtual fulcrum (9B1).

A strain calculator unit (28) calculates an amount of strain of bone for each time phase and outputs to a characteristic curve generator unit (30). The characteristic curve generator unit (30) generates a characteristic curve related to the strain of bone based on a load value output from a load measurement device (36) and the amount of strain of bone output from the strain calculator unit (28).
