摘要： A tone generation (10) includes a plurality of tone generation channels each comprising one or more operation channels (OP1-OPx). One operation channel performs basic operation of a tone signal computing operation (e.g., FM or AM) and a tone signal is generated by using one or more operation channels for one tone generation channel. Tone generation channels in the tone generator are established according to a selected performance mode. In a first mode, the operation channels are divided into N groups and N tone generation channels are established in correspondence to the respective operation channel groups. In a second mode, the operation channels are divided into M groups and M tone generation channels are established in correspondence to the respective operation channel groups wherein N is a different number from M. Tone generation channels of the number required according to the selected performance mode can be established by efficiently utilizing the operation channels of a limited number.

摘要： A disc rotation control device for a compact disc player comprises a stable rotation detection circuit (1, 23, 31, 32, 33) for detecting whether rotation of a compact disc is in a stable state or in an unstable state, a phase control loop (40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 52) for phase-controlling the disc rotation and direct control means (21, 22, 41, 42, 45, 48) foR directly controlling the disc rotation. The disc rotation is controlled by the phase control loop when the disc rotation is in a stable state and, if the disc rotation has become unstable, the control of the disc rotation is switched to one by the direct control means. During the phase control, even if an EFM signal reproduced from a disc has become unavailable for some reason, preceding phase difference data is held and used for the disc rotation control.

摘要： A digital electronic musical instrument is constituted by detector, a phase angle, information generator and a musical tone generator. The detector detects an end portion of a period of a musical tone to be produced. The phase angle information generator repetitively generates phase angle information representing an instantaneous phase angle of the musical tone during from start to end of the period of the musical tone in response to the detection of the end portion of the period. The musical tone generator synthesizes the musical tone in accordance with the phase angle information. Operations of the detector, phase angle information generator and tone generator are performed on the basis of clock pulses having a predetermined frequency which is an integer multiple of a fundamental frequency of the musical tone to be produced, thereby realizing the so-called pitch synchronous system and simplifying the construction of the musical instrument.

摘要： A basic tone signal generator (10) and a difference signal generator (11) are provided. A desired tone signal is obtained by synthesizing a basic tone signal and a difference signal generated from these generators respectively. The basic tone signal has principal characteristics of a desired tone signal whose tone color (waveshape) changes subtly with time as in a tone of an acoustic musical instrument, but it is not the desired tone signal itself, including some errors, i.e., difference from the desired tone signal. The difference signal represents the difference between the desired tone signal and the basic tone signal. Since the basic tone signal is consitituted by basic tone data whose data amount can be substantially reduced as compared to an amount of data required for reproducing the desired tone signal itself with a high resolution and the difference signal is constituted by difference data whose data amount can be very small. Therefore, a tone synthesization by combining the basic tone signal and the difference signal contributes greately to the simplification of the circuit construction of an electronic musical instrument.

摘要： A disc case is constructed for receiving releasably a disc on which information data are recorded and for supporting the disc rotatably in the disc case, and can be set into a reproducing apparatus with the disc received in the disc case. The disc case comprises: a first case member having a disc receiving area on its central portion; a second case member associated with the first case member to be able to open and close the disc receiving area; and a locking means having first and second locking members, a first locking member being formed integrally on one of the first and second case members and a second locking member being formed integrally on the other of the first and second case members and locks the first and second case members in a closed state with the disc receiving area closed in cooperation with the first locking member. The second locking member has an opening button which elastically deforms the second locking member and release the locking of the first and second case members when operated. The second locking member further comprises a spacing member which space the first and second case member from each other in the direction to open when the oprating button is operated.
