摘要： A precipitating bath (4) for holding a coagulation liquid for the precipitation of shaped bodies formed from a spinning solution has a bottom and at least one precipitating bath discharge nozzle (10) mounted in the bottom, the at least one discharge nozzle having an intake port and opposite it a discharge port for the passage therethrough of the shaped bodies formed from the spinning solution, the bath also having at least one inlet for the coagulation liquid (4) and at least one outlet for the coagulation liquid. The precipitating bath (4) is characterised in that it has a cover sheet (6) with at least one hole for holding the at least one precipitating bath discharge nozzle (10), the cover sheet (6) being positioned above the at least one inlet for the coagulation liquid and beneath at least one outlet for the coagulation liquid, and in that the at least one precipitating bath discharge nozzle (10) in the at least one hole in the cover sheet is arranged such that one or more orifices are formed in the cover sheet (6) in a ring around the at least one precipitating bath discharge nozzle (10). A process for the preparation of cellulosic shaped bodies is provided in which process an extruded solution of cellulose in a tertiary amine N-oxide and, optionally, water is introduced into a coagulation liquid, for example in such a precipitating bath, for coagulation, wherein during the precipitation the coagulation liquid flows in countercurrent to the direction of movement of the shaped solution, at least in the region of the inlet of the shaped solution into the coagulation liquid.

摘要： A dyed and finished lyocell fabric having a clean, soft-touch finish is produced by a process in which fibrillation is induced in a wet processing step prior to dyeing. This step is carried out under pressure at high temperature using an aqueous carboxylic acid solution and enables the io unwanted longer fibre ends produced by fibrillation to be removed. Acetic acid and formic acid are the preferred carboxylic acids. Processing may be carried out on a fabric rope using an air-jet dyeing machine both for the fibrillation and the dyeing steps.

摘要： A method of forming a solution of a solid includes the steps of: (1) forming a dispersion which comprises (a) a liquid, (b) the solid dispersed in powder form and (c) a polymeric binder dissolved in the liquid, and (2) mixing the dispersion with the solvent under conditions such that the powder dissolves in the solvent. If a solution prepared by this method is allowed to dry out, the polymeric binder binds the powder and thus suppresses dust formation. The method has particular application to solids which are reactive textile auxiliaries. A dispersion of a solid in powder form in an aqueous liquid contains a major proportion of a low viscosity, water-soluble cellulose ether and a minor proportion of a natural polysaccharide gum.

摘要： Garments are constructed from lyocell fabric which has been resignated using a textile resin having just two groups per molecule which can reactively cross-link with cellulose molecules of the lyocell fabric then causticised by application under tension of an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide, and the constructed garments are dyed in a garment dyeing operation. Garments can be produced by this route which retain a smooth, evently-dyed appearance with unpuckered seams and minimal creasing and so present a desired formal look, as distinct from the casual look imparted by the effects of fibrillation normally produced when lyocell garments undergo garment dyeing.

摘要： A garment having recoverable stretch properties is made from a fabric woven from warp and/or weft yarns of normally inelastic lyocell yarns which have a crimped configuration which is set-in and which imparts a stretch in the warp and/or weft direction of the fabric of at least 15 per cent with a stretch recovery of at least 90 per cent. An uncreased garment having such recoverable stretch properties is produced by holding the garment in an unconstrained and uncreased condition, for example by suspending it from a hanger, and immersing it successively in a bath of swelling agent such as sodium hydroxide solution to develop the crimp and then in a wash bath to set the crimp. An arrangement of creasescan be set into such a garment by trying it into a bundle before the swelling and crimp-setting steps, and this procedure may also be applied to a garment knitted from normally inelastic lyocell yarns.
