摘要： The invention relates to a coil former for automatic coil winding, especially RM coil formers, consisting of a cylindrical winding body (103), a lower flange (104) having side projections (111) forming wire guide slots (112) and bearing solder pins (113), and an upper flange (105) having means for accomodating the coil former (101) and driving it on the automatic winding machine, in which the coil former (101) is designed for use with a two-part core (102) held together by an elastic clamping device (109) and surrounding the coil body (101) like a jacket in its upper plane and shaped in such a way that the side projections (111) of the lower flange (104) and the means on the upper flange (105) to take and guide the former body (101) lie outside the core (102). In order to improve the stability of this coil former in the region of the upper flange (105), the upper flange (105) is solid with no apertures (10) and the means for accomodating and driving the coil former (101) on the automatic winding machine are formed by webs (110) on the top of the upper flange (105) bounding a radially outwardly open accomodating chamber. Although the upper flange (105) no longer has any apertures, the webs (110) maintain the handling advantages on the automatic winding machine. The upper flange (105) may be made thicker without enlarging the surrounding core (102) in that the clamping device (109) not only holds together the core halves (106, 107) but also presses on the top of the upper flange (105) of the coil former (101) with side projections (116, 117).

摘要： The proposal is for the production of a coil former with ends (5) injection moulded in a lower flange (2') for the through connection of suitable terminal pins (3) which can be wound in a section (4) beneath the lower flange (2') with ends of coil windings, in which the terminal pins (3) are flattened beneath the section (4) into a rectangular cross-section (S3) and bent in the region of the flattened section (S3) to form surface-mountable connectors (1). This makes it possible to use the same production method for surface-mountable coil formers as for through contacts. In addition, the same winding machines may be used for coil formers with both types of contact.
