摘要： A chain for personal adornments which allows highly smooth movement between component blocks in all directions, is easy of locking and unlocking operation, and gives least discomfort while being worn. The chain comprises a plurality of first component blocks (1) uniformly shaped and a plurality of second component blocks (2) substantially uniformly shaped to differ from the first component blocks (1) in size and shape. The first component blocks (1) and the second component blocks (2) are alternately arranged in such a manner as to achieve universal coupling between them. At respective ends of the chain, there are arranged second components (2, 2), one of which is provided with pins (2C, 2C') and the other of which is provided with a pair of locking pieces (6, 7) pivotally mounted thereon and having holes (6d, 7d) to be fitted on the pins (2C, 2C'). The pins (2C, 2C') and the locking pieces (6, 7) form a locking mechanism for connecting both ends of the chain with each other.
