摘要： The invention relates to a child safety gate which occupies as little space as possible when the gate is open. The child safety gate comprises two or more panels (1, 2, 3, 4) interconnected by at least one hinge (5). The panels are mounted in the opening via at least one fitting (10) connected with an end panel (3) at one side. At least one closure device (12, 13) is connected with an end panel (4) at the other side. The hinges (5) may be connected with the panels (1, 2, 3, 4), so that the panels may be folded inwardly over each other when the gate is opened. A panel top (8) and/or a panel base (9) may be connected with the panels. The panels (1, 2, 3, 4) may comprise two panel parts which may be telescoped. An extension panel may be disposed between the panel parts.

摘要： A locking mechanism for a child safety barrier (1 ) may be activated by a foot pedal (6) which can only be operated when an auxiliary lock (8) has been activated. The auxiliary lock (8) is formed by a mechanical unit, which has an electrical receiver (8a) which, when receiving an electrical signal, e.g. an electromagnetic signal from a transmitter (9), can activate the auxiliary lock (8), following which the foot pedal (6) may be activated. The transmitter (9) may be incorporated in a remote control unit of the hand-held type, or it may be mounted on a wall, where an adult can activate the transmitter, e.g. by an elbow. The transmitter may also be a unit which continuously transmits electromagnetic signals which activate the auxiliary lock when they are interrupted.

According to the invention, the pressure indicator is constructed as a pressure transducer in the form of a strain gauge (13) which is disposed on one of the upper ferrules (9). A signal processing circuit (16), which is powered from a battery (19), is connected to the strain gauge (13). The signal processing circuit (16) has a display unit which may be a light-emitting diode or a sound unit, which gives a signal when the pressure between the upper ferrules (9, 10) is sufficient. The display unit also shows whether the battery (19) is sufficient charged. The invention provides a pressure indicator which is more reliable than a mechanical pressure indicator, in particular after having been used for an extended period of time.
