    • The invention concerns a valve (1) for a fluid dispensing container, comprising:
      • a valve cup (2) for tightly closing the container with a through opening,
      • a resilient grommet (3) comprising a central bore and a flange and extending on both sides of the valve cup (2) through the opening of the valve cup (2), and
      • a valve stem (4) comprising a hollow tubular portion defining a central bore, said valve stem (4) snugly fitting in the central bore of the grommet and extending on both sides of the grommet (3), with a first opening to ambient and a second, opposite end being closed by a circular flange (6) of diameter greater than the diameter of the central bore of the grommet (3), the central bore of the valve stem (4) being in fluid communication with the interface between the circular flange (6) of the valve stem (4) and the flange of the grommet (3) via at least one lateral opening (7).
      In order to provide a cheap and simple solution for preventing environmental moisture from entering into contact with the product in the container, it is proposed according to the present invention that the flange (6) of the valve stem (4) covers at least partially the grommet.

    • The present invention relates to a valve member for a dispenser valve for foam products, and in particular for a dispenser valve for polyurethane foam container, comprising a valve member that is moveable relative to a sealing. It also relates to such a dispenser valve and to a foam container.
      In order to provide alternative materials for valve members, it is proposed according to the invention that the valve member is made of plastic material filled with mineral particles in an amount between 1 % and 60 % by weight.
      It has been surprisingly found that valve members made of plastic filled with mineral particles in these amounts show improved properties, such as strength and abrasion rates, compared to non-filled plastics and compared to glass-filled plastics.

    • The invention concerns a fluid dispensing gun comprising a dispensing tube with a dosing nozzle, a spring-loaded needle which is co-axially moveable in the dispensing tube for opening and closing the dosing nozzle, a trigger for actuating said needle in order to open the dosing nozzle and to dispense the fluid, regulating means for regulating the degree of opening of the outlet of the dosing nozzle and coupling means for coupling a pressurized can to the gun.
      In order to provide a better regulation and control of the output rate of the fluid dispensing gun, it is proposed that the inside of the dosing nozzle has a first cylindrical area, followed by a first conical area, followed by a second cylindrical area, followed by a second conical area and ends in the dosing nozzle with a third cylindrical area.
      With this new design of the inner area of the dosing nozzle, it is easier to regulate the output rate of the dispensing gun.

    • The invention is directed to a polymer foam composition with a chemical backbone structure consisting out of an unsaturated polyester resin. Main advantages of this change in chemical structure of a foam compared to the normal polyurethane foams is the fast curing of the sprayed froth, lower cost and ecologic friendly behaviour without loss of overall characteristics of the foam. Both one and two component foams are obtained. With the two vessel foam formulations, the activator and initiator are stored in separate vessels containing also polyester resin, vinylmonomer and additives. For the one component system, the initiator is stored within the complete mixture in the aerosol can in microspheres, inhibiting the crosslinking reaction. Upon spraying the spheres are broken and reaction can occur.
