摘要： Aspects of the invention provided herein include heat engine systems, methods for generating electricity, and methods for starting a turbo pump. In some configurations, the heat engine system contains a start pump and a turbo pump disposed in series along a working fluid circuit and configured to circulate a working fluid within the working fluid circuit. The start pump may have a pump portion coupled to a motor-driven portion and the turbo pump may have a pump portion coupled to a drive turbine. In one configuration, the pump portion of the start pump is fluidly coupled to the working fluid circuit downstream of and in series with the pump portion of the turbo pump. In another configuration, the pump portion of the start pump is fluidly coupled to the working fluid circuit upstream of and in series with the pump portion of the turbo pump.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for charging and discharging a heat accumulator (12). The invention further relates to a system by means of which said method can be performed. By means of the heat accumulator (12), it is possible to convert overcapacities of wind turbines (11), for example, into a charging circuit (13) as heat in the accumulator (12) by means of a compressor (22). If necessary, electricity can be stored into the network by means of a turbine (25) and a generator (G), wherein the heat accumulator (12) is discharged. According to the invention, the charging circuit (13) and the discharging circuit (14) are operated by means of a Rankine cycle, wherein for example river water (17) is available as a reservoir for heat exchangers (16, 19) in order to cause evaporation of the working medium in the charging circuit and condensation of the working medium in the discharging circuit.

The turbogenerator (10) includes a secondary circuit (11) of the exchanger (9), using a vapour fluid to drive a turbine (12) that in turn drives an alternator (13) for generating electric power.
