The method includes selecting a patch from a holder that holds a plurality of patches and applying the patch near the portion of the body. 摘要： A medical bandaging product (20) in roll form for being dispensed in predetermined lengths suitable for a given medical use, and including an elongate sleeve (15) formed of moisture-impervious material and sealable to prevent entry of moisture, and an elongate medical bandage material (10) substantially the same length as the sleeve (15) and positioned in the sleeve (15) in a single length along the length of the sleeve (15) and sealed therein against entry of moisture until use. The medical bandage material (10) includes a substrate (11) and a reactive system impregnated into or coated onto the substrate (11). The system remains stable when maintained in substantially moisture-free conditions and hardens upon exposure to sufficient moisture to form a rigid, self supporting structure. A protective liner sheet (12) encloses the substrate (11) along its length and forms a barrier between the substrate (11) and the sleeve (15) during storage, and is optionally removable after removal of the medical bandage material (10) from the sleeve (15) and prior to application to a patient. The substrate (11) is adapted for having a protective padding material interposed between the substrate (11) and the patient.

摘要： Individual package to assist the hygienic insertion of an absorbent device into the interlabial space of a female user are disclosed. The individual package comprises a wrapper for packaging the absorbent device. The wrapper comprises a flexible sheet which is wrapped around the absorbent device. The wrapper being at least partially removable from around the absorbent device wherein at least a portion of the wrapper remains between a user's hands and the absorbent device when the absorbent device is inserted into the interlabial space to prevent the user's hands from contacting the absorbent device for hygienic insertion. The wrapper is folded about the absorbent device relative to the longitudinal axis of the lower portion forming a longitudinal fold, an opposing open end, and transverse side edges. The opposing open end and transverse side edges are sealed forming the individual package.

摘要： A sterile wound packing material (10) and package (20) therefor is provided, which wound packing is in the form of a gauze or similar absorbent material (12) and may be impregnated with a partially or substantially dehydrated hydrogel material (14) for absorbing wound exudate. The wound packing (10) is capable for absorbing large amounts of wound exudate without inhibiting the healing of the wound to which it is contacted and without the need for additional backing or adhesive layers. The wound packing also has a pliable, soft structure which permits the packing to be applied to wounds having irregular shapes and depths.
