    • A system and method for pressure measurement may include the ability to readily produce a pressure measurement system. In one general aspect, a process for producing a pressure measurement system 100 includes providing an assembly including a stem 112, a pressure detector 120, and a first circuit board 130. The pressure detector is operable to generate a signal based on pressure introduced through the stem, and the circuit board is operable to condition the signal. The process also includes compensating the assembly, determining a signal output type for a pressure measurement system that will include the assembly, and installing a second circuit board 150 that produces the signal output type without materially affecting the compensation.

    • A pressure sensor (100) is provided which can detect the presence, absence or magnitude of pressure, as well as a pressure profile. The pressure sensor includes a sensor membrane (112) and a sensor device (114). The sensor membrane (112) is flexible and may be constructed of a conductive material or may include a flexible film attached to a conductive film. The sensor device (114) includes a sensor strip (118), a voltage source (120), and an electrical sensor (122). The sensor strip includes both a conductive strip (126) and a resistive strip (124). The conductive strip (126) is arranged parallel to the resistive strip (124). As pressure is applied to the sensor membrane, the sensor membrane (112) distends or deforms towards the sensor strip. As sufficient pressure is applied, the sensor membrane (112) will make both electrical and mechanical contact with both the conductive strip (126) and the resistive strip (124) at a point along the length of the sensor strip. Since the membrane is conductive, the conductive strip and the resistive strip will be in electrical connection with each other. As the point of application of pressure is varied, the point at which the conductive strip and the resistive strip are connected will vary. As a result, the pressure profile exerted on the sensor membrane may be determined. The pressure sensor may be utilized in a variety of environments to sense a wide variety of pressures including either fluid pressure or physical contact pressure.

    • It is described a pressure meter comprising a diaphragm (8) operatively fastened between a base body (2) and a protection cap (4) mutually engaged by close fit. The diaphragm (8) is elastically deformable by effect of pressure variations within a pressurization chamber (3) forced in the base body (2), against the action exerted by a counterspring (14) for activating a signalling device (5) when the pressure value exceeds a predetermined threshold. An adjusting ring nut (16) is screwed down on an end portion (17) of the protection cap (4) and acts on a plate (18) offering a rest surface to the spring (14). The ring nut (16) has a mesh toothing (21) operatively engaged by a power-driven pinion gear for adjusting the preloading force exerted by the spring (14) through screwing and unscrewing of the ring nut itself.
