    • The invention relates to a thermal power plant (1) with a device for generating heat of compression and comprises a pump circuit (5) with a pump (7) for pumping a liquid (4) through a flow restrictor (10), a heat exchanger (20) for transferring heat from the heated liquid to a fluid which is to be heated and which is pumped through the heat exchanger (20), and a liquid container (2). The pump circuit (5) is constructed as an open circuit, in that the liquid which is to be pumped through the flow restrictor (10) is withdrawn from the liquid container (2), and the heated liquid which has been pumped through the flow restrictor (10) is returned to the liquid container (2). The heat exchanger (20) is connected in a heat exchanger circuit (21), constructed as an open circuit with a pump (22) for pumping heated liquid (4) through the heat exchanger (20). The invention thus provides that the intake opening in the liquid container (2) and the opening on the outlet side of the heat exchanger circuit (21) are arranged in such a way that, by the operation of the pump (22) of the heat exchanger circuit (21), the liquid in the liquid container (2) is mixed thoroughly. The invention further describes a method for the generation of compression heat and for the transfer of the generated compression heat to a fluid which is to be heated.

    • The invention relates to a heat-generating plate comprising adjacently arranged spring elements which generate frictional heat and can be displaced in relation to each other in a frictional manner under the effect of compression and decompression. The inventive plate is characterised in that two series (S1, S2) of spring elements, which are curved in a groove-type manner and produced from a spring-elastic material, are arranged between two parallel cover plates (21, 22). Said spring elements can expand under the effect of a compression (DB) and can return to the original groove shape thereof under the effect of a decompression (DE). They are also approximately in the form of strips, the convex surfaces (KXF) thereof being oriented towards one of the plates (21, 22) and the longitudinal edges (31) thereof being respectively oriented towards the other plate. Respectively two adjacent free longitudinal edges (31) of respectively two adjacently arranged spring elements (3, 3') of the two series (S1, S2) protrude into the concave region (KVR) of the spring elements of the other series and lie on the concave surfaces (KVF) thereof. In the event of a compression, the edges of the spring elements of one series can be displaced in a frictionally sliding manner against the concave surfaces of the spring elements of the other series, generating frictional heat, and in the event of a decompression, the spring elements return to the original groove shape thereof, simultaneously generating frictional heat.
