    • Concave portions filled with particles of high-absorbent resin are arranged on an outer side surface of a cylinder part in a circumferential direction. When each concave portion passes an ejection start position lying posterior to the lowermost portion in a rotation direction, particles are ejected along a tangent line of the side surface at the ejection start position. A sheet conveying roller is located near the above lowermost portion. Annular grooves facing concave portions are formed on an outer side surface of the roller along a circumferential direction. The roller conveys a sheet member along its side surface so that the sheet member passes near the above lowermost portion. In the sheet member, groove portions corresponding to the annular grooves are formed. Since the tangent line intersects with the side surface of the roller, it is possible to eject particles into the groove portions and reduce scattering of particles.

    • This invention relates to a machine designed to bond a number of layers of film made of different materials, using solventless adhesive, to obtain a single multiply film consisting of a series of layers having different characteristics.
      The machine according to the invention comprises an ordinary drum (2) associated with a plurality of spreader/applicator units (3, 4, 5), each of which comprises a tank of adhesive and means for taking up said adhesive and transferring it in the form of a thin layer to an applicator roller which moves in contact with the drum. Each of the films to be bonded is fed to one of the zones formed between the drum (2) and said spreader/applicator units (3, 4, 5), where it receives a layer of adhesive and is then joined to the film fed to the next zone.
      The machine according to the invention is highly flexible, because it can be set up not only to produce a single film consisting of different layers, but also to make two films each consisting of two layers bonded to one another, or a three-ply film wherein the films can be made of different materials, such as plastic or paper; one of the films could even be made of aluminium foil.

    • The inventive device for placing a paper bag bottom (1) produces score lines on the ends of tubular segments which are used for producing bags (1), applies glue layers to the folded bottoms on the extremities of the tubular segments and/or to sheets (2) for gluing them with the bottoms with the aid of gluers (10, 20, 30, 40), connects and glues the folded bottoms (1) and the sheets (2). Contrarily to presently used devices, said device is provided with at least one gluer (10, 20, 30, 40) which comprises at least one glue reservoir (21) or at least one glue duct (33, 52, 53), the glue contained in the reservoir or in the duct being exposed to a pressure higher than ambient pressure. The glue reservoir (21) or the glue duct (33, 52, 53, 55, 72, 73) is provided with at least one output orifice (71) for applying the glue to the sheets (2) and/or to the folded bottoms (1). The inventive method for operating said device is also disclosed.
