摘要： In an electronic component feeding apparatus (41) for feeding components with use of a taping component (3), a brushless motor is used as a drive motor (110) in a tape sending mechanism (43) that transports the taping component (3) so as to improve productivity in an electronic component mounting apparatus equipped with the electronic component feeding apparatus (41). Also, an electronic component feeding apparatus (241, 371) is provided with a control part (255, 355) that automatically executes initial processing such as sending of the taping component (3) as well as detects and reports sending failure of the taping component (3) when the electronic component feeding apparatus (241, 371) is installed in the electronic component mounting apparatus, which makes it possible to provide an electronic component feeding apparatus enabling easy and prompt detection of sending failure of the taping component (3).

摘要： System for handling components in connection with circuit board assembly in a component mounting machine. The system comprises a number of component tapes provided on component tape reels, and a number of tape guides arranged for receiving component tapes of a given component tape width and for bringing the component tape in position for feeding of the component tape and for picking components from the component tape in the component mounting machine. The tape guides have a similar geometrical outline and basic configuration, and each tape guide comprises component exposure means for exposing a component at a picking position by removing the portion of the cover tape covering the component. The tape guides are divided into sub-sets of tape guides, wherein the tape guides of each individual sub-set have component exposure means of the same design, which design is dependent on the configurations of the component tapes intended for that sub-set of tape guides.
Each tape guide also comprises visual marking for indicating the sub-set to which the tape guide belongs.

摘要： The invention relates to a supply module (2) comprising a locking element (7) configured as a piezoceramic bending transducer and extending in the longitudinal direction of the supply module (2) and along a supply path for components (5). A free end of the locking element (7) protrudes into a window of the supply module (2) such that it is located slightly above the component (5) which has been conveyed there and is ready for collection. By applying an operating voltage to the locking element (7) said element can be bent sideways to such an extent that it is moved out of the coverage area of the component (5) transversally to the direction of feed motion. In this way the locking and release of the component is simplified considerably.

摘要： A flexible carrier tape used for protecting components while they are being transported, wherein the carrier tape comprises a strip portion having a component-receiving surface and first and second longitudinal edge surfaces. At least two side walls having inner and outer major surfaces extend upwardly from the component-receiving surface between the longitudinal edge surfaces forming at least one component-receiving area. The inner major surface of a t least one side wall is inclined inwardly toward the component-receiving area, forming an angle greater than 0 degrees but less than 90 degrees with the component-receiving surface of the carrier tape. When a component is placed in the component-receiving area, the inclined inner major surface advantageously exerts a force on the component that prevents the component from moving within or falling out of the component-receiving area. This obviates the need for an adhesive or cover tape to hold the component in place, and mimimizes the possibility of contamination by adhesive residue and damage to the components by static electricity created by removal of the cover tape or movement of the components.
