At least one of the electronic components positioned within the carrier tape has a different number of leads than the pockets have lead-retaining slots, to facilitate the storage and delivery of different sized components within the pockets of a single carrier tape.

摘要： A package (10) is disclosed for storing and dispensing electrical connectors or components thereof. The package employs a plurality of elongated component-containing tubes (12) in a generally parallel laterally stacked array, with opposite ends (12a) of the tubes being in generally linear alignments at opposite ends of the stacked array. An elongated, U-shaped end cap (14) slidingly engages the opposite outer walls of the tubes along the opposite ends of the stacked array thereof. A dispensing system is disclosed wherein a pair of upright supports (22) of a dispensing apparatus are disposed in a spaced arrangement for receiving therebetween the stacked array of tubes held together by the end caps. Complementary holding means (34) located within said upright supports hold the end caps so that when the stacked array is moved beyond the holding means, the end caps remain in the holding means.

摘要： The invention concerns belts carrying, in particular, SMD components in order to feed them to pick-and-place component handlers or similar machines. Such belts have at one side a track with regularly spaced guide holes. The invention calls for a band-like splicing aid with a substrate (10, 20, 30) having at least two parallel tracks (11; 12, 16), one of which (11) has protuberances (15) disposed in the same regular array as the guide holes (5) in the belt while the other track (12) has at least one detachable adhesive strip (13, 17). The substrate (10, 20, 30), with its protuberances (15), is used directly to join two belts together and is subsequently pulled off. When a splicing aid of this kind is used, no other devices are necessary.
