Trust mediator agents continuously detect changes in the security characteristics of the network and communicate the detected security characteristics to a trust mediator. Based on the security characteristics received from the trust mediator agents, the trust mediator adjusts security safeguards to maintain an acceptable level of security. Trust mediator also uses predetermined rules in determining whether to adjust security safeguards. 摘要： A computer implemented method of performing a transaction using a payment account, typically handled by a payment account manager (PAM), comprises the steps of: receiving a first message from a top up terminal indicating that funds have been transferred to the payment account; setting or adjusting a funds limit of the payment account based on information in the first message; receiving an authorisation or pre-authorisation request from a first terminal and commencing a funds aggregation; receiving a second message indicating a pre-defined amount of funds which may be used in the transaction; blocking an amount of the funds limit of the payment account equivalent to the pre-defined amount; and sending an authorisation response to the first terminal. As a result, the PAM can send data to indicate that a card associated with the payment account is not fit for travel. In one aspect of the invention, a transit authority is able to write bypassing data to the card so as to bypass a deny list that would otherwise have blocked the card from being used for a transit journey.

摘要： Provided are a user authentication system and method using a physical financial card. A user of the physical financial card is authenticated based on information acquired from the physical financial card using a contact or non-contact scheme. When a user requesting authentication for the first time is successfully authenticated, a unique identifier (UID) of the physical financial card and a personal identification number (PIN) for the authentication are registered. The user is authenticated using the registered UID and PIN information in the next authentication, so that security and convenience are improved.
