摘要： A method and system for creating a precision approach for an aircraft to a position on the ground from a location above the ground is disclosed. The system comprises a display unit onboard the aircraft that displays a digital moving map, a database onboard the aircraft that contains digital terrain elevation data and obstacle data, a global positioning receiver that identifies the in flight position of the aircraft and an input device used to select the position on the ground displayed on the digital moving map. A processor that is also onboard the aircraft is communicably linked to the display unit, the database and the global positioning receiver. The processor generates the digital moving map on the display unit from the digital terrain elevation data and obstacle data and creates an approach derived from global positioning system data for the aircraft to the position on the ground selected on the digital moving map based upon the in flight position of the aircraft.

摘要： A system (4) for generating an image of an object, comprising a combination of a sensing feature (2) for measuring the spatial component parameters (amplitude, phase, etc.) of the object basis functions that satisfy a Bragg condition, together with an image synthesis feature (16,18) for generating a reconstructed image of the object using the measured parameters of the basis functions. The image reconstruction feature may optically project spatial components (6) (spatial frequencies). The image reconstruction feature may optically record the spatial frequency domain sequentially, then perform a two-dimensional Fourier transform by a variety of methods. The image reconstruction feature is not restricted to optical radiation, and may include projection imaging systems that use other forms of wavelike radiation. The image reconstruction feature does not require purely digital electronic methods for producing a two-dimensional image.

摘要： Non-contact type wave signal observation apparatus takes measurements of electromagnetic waves received on an observation plane and performs hologram reconstruction calculations to reconstruct characteristics of the corresponding electromagnetic wave information at points in the observed space. The invention provides apparatus for analysis of spatial electromagnetic waves so as to determine properties such as those related to polarization of the radiation, one or more pairs of mutually orthogonal antennas having figure-of-eight beam patterns are used in the observation plane. A display for displaying complex three-dimensional data such as interference data of electromagnetic waves may be used to display data produced by the apparatus according to the invention. The complex data is converted from orthogonal co-ordinates to polar co-ordinates, the phase information is converted to hue information in a hue converter and the amplitude information is used to modulate the brightness of the displayed signal; corresponding colour signals are displayed on a colour display unit.
