    • The finished yam is made only of naturally coloured wool fibres already currently present in nature and originating from around the world ( British, Norwegian, European, South American and New Zealand wools are types commonly used). The finished yam is manufactured without any dyeing of the raw material. The yam composition is 100% naturally coloured wool. Special processing with impregnation agents is used to help protect natural colours against fading under the influence of UV radiation. The colours of the finished yam are achieved by blending up to 20% Crossbred, Swaledale, Blackface, Halfbred wool fibres, with up to 40% depigmented wool fibres, with up to 20% New Zealand wool fibres and up to 20% wool fibres of American, Libyan and European origin.

    • A composite fiber of low fineness with light interference coloring function, capable of development into a field of merchandise requiring aesthetic properties. There is provided a novel composite fiber enabling supply of such a composite fiber, characterized by having such a structure that the periphery of a 10 mum or less thick alternate laminate composed of alkali hardly soluble polymer layers with different refractive indexes, wherein the ratio of solubility parameter value (SP1) of high-index-side polymer to solubility parameter value (SP2) of low-index-side polymer, (SP1/SP2), is in the range of 0.8 to 1.1, alternately piled upon each other in parallel to the major axis direction of planiform section is covered by a 2.0 mum or more thick alkali easily soluble polymer.
