    • Apparatus, computer instructions and method for deghosting seismic data related to a subsurface of a body of water. The method includes inputting data recorded by detectors that are towed by a vessel, the data being associated with waves travelling from the subsurface to the detectors; applying a migration procedure to the data to determine a first image of the subsurface; applying a mirror migration procedure to the data to determine a second image of the subsurface; joint deconvoluting the first image and the second image for deghosting a reflectivity of the subsurface; and generating a final image of the subsurface based on the deghosted reflectivity of the joint deconvoluting step.

    • A method for using an offset vector tile gather to image a subsurface (1400) defines an offset vector tile gather by selecting a plurality of seismic traces from recorded seismic data (1404). Each seismic trace (123) in the offset vector tile includes reflections from subsurface reflectors and reflection points (124) at depths below the surface of the subsurface. Each reflection point is in a given seismic trace, and each given seismic trace extends from a seismic source (102) to a seismic receiver (104). The reflection points define an offset vector tile (612,712) having a source line span (120) and a receiver line span (118). The source line span is equal to or greater than a distance between adjacent seismic receiver lines (614), and the receiver line span is less than a distance between adjacent seismic source lines (714). The offset vector tile gather is used to produce a three dimensional image of the subsurface (1412).
